Jane, I presume from your comment that you are a vendor representative for todays giveaway, welcome, Could you clarify if there is any expiration date for usage of the version and build offered here today or is the license for this build perpetual with just the standard restrictions of no re-install after the giveaway is over and no commercial use and no automatic entitlement to free tech support. Installed on windows 10 -8GB memory-Intel i7 core This software is too buggy for me. Second conversion no progression and blue screen - third conversion to mkv progession up to 6% then the screen freezes and the mouse no longer responds, blue screen and reboot DPC Watchdog Violation Blue Screen Error. I've not named any particular software since all of them will not come close to the original quality of a 'good' MKV file. So if its just DVD and not HD-DVD player or Blu-Ray DVD player then whatever format is supported will be restricted to 480p and 576p. Some standalone DVD players can play certain well defined video files stored as data on a DVD or CD such as DiVX AVI and XVID AVI files and maybe some other formats but again you will be restricted to the maximum resolution supported by the players hardware. Tony77, there are plenty of programs that will convert.MKV files to DVD-Video compatible format and burn them BUT they are ALL forced to reduce quality from 720p,1080p,2160p to 480p or 576p that is defined in the DVD-Video standard.
